Leading independent brewer, Innis & Gunn, will host a one-off, original event at Light Space in Meanwood this week, to showcase their award-winning Single Malt Whisky cask matured beer, ‘The Original’, alongside local creative talent.
The event will take place across two nights on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th November and Leeds locals can sign-up for the last few remaining tickets here: www.innisandgunn.com/ifyouknowleeds
The brewer will partner with local DJ and vinyl enthusiast, Harry Rook, of independent stations; Jorvik, Alto and Voices Radio, to deliver the ultimate musical pairing. Harry has curated an original playlist, which pairs perfectly with The Original, combining old school classics and contemporary tunes for a truly timeless and unique listening experience.
Local artist Kieran Hadley, of Third Eye Signs, will create a piece of live sign art at the event, for attendees to watch come to life in real time, paying homage to The Original with his distinctive style, and using casks from Innis & Gunn’s brewery; the same that are used to mature The Original.
An original tasting masterclass will also be on offer, which will see attendees pairing luxury chocolate from Leeds chocolatier Lauden Chocolate, with some of Innis & Gunn’s award-winning beers, including The Original, Lager Beer and Caribbean Rum Cask.
The Original is the brand’s flagship beer on which the brewery was founded in 2003. Single Malt Whisky Cask matured, the beer has won numerous awards for its unique taste, which includes notes of oak, toffee, vanilla and citrus, thanks to its innovative brewing process.
