Brand new menu embraces Neapolitan street food traditions

A true taste experience of Southern Italy as Riva Blu announces brand new summer menu complete with contemporary Neapolitan street food, Biacatas and desserts

Indulge in the flavours of Naples as popular Italian restaurant, Riva Blu, launches a brand new summer menu that captures the essence and passion of authentic Italian cuisine.

Bringing traditional Neapolitan cooking to its four restaurants in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester, the new menu launches on Thursday 23rd May with each dish paying homage to the rich culinary traditions and ingredients from the city of Naples.

One of the key highlights of the new menu is the ‘Staples from Naples’ which includes a selection of authentic street food dishes, designed to share amongst friends and family. Featuring classics like Arancini Tartufo, a delicious crispy truffle risotto ball with a smoked provola cheese core and cheese sauce, and Caprese, oozing buffalo mozzarella with vine-ripened tomato and garlic, guests can enjoy a compilation of Italian dishes on a journey of flavour.

When it comes to delicious antipasti, the summer menu doesn’t disappoint – from traditional Bruschetta Classica and Burrata In Cestino to Frittatina Carbonara, a Neapolitan fried Macaroni pasta with a creamy carbonara sauce and traditional Pecorino Romano, guests will savour the truly authentic taste of Italy in the very first bite.

Further embracing street food culture across the lunchtime menu is the all new Neapolitan ‘Biacata’ – Italian kissing sandwiches made using Riva Blu’s authentic Biga dough recipe. Guests can choose from eight different fillings, including the traditional Caprese, Porchetta and Pollo, as well as a Melanzane Parmigiana which features fried layers of aubergine, tomato, mozzarella and is finished with an indulgent burrata cream and fresh basil.

Traditional pizza and pasta dishes are also celebrated across the new menu, with gluten free variations available on request. The Spaghetti Con Cozze features rope grown mussels, vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic and flat leaf parsley set to transport guests to the beautiful south of Italy, and the Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, where guests can indulge in buffalo mozzarella and slow-cooked tomato sauce for the ultimate rich and creamy taste.

The newly launched dessert menu celebrates trending Italian sweet treats, including the Pistachio Tiramisu with current searches on Google trends up 537% in the past year alone, offering a delightful twist on the classic with its unique tantalising flavour.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Southern Italy as expert mixologists craft a symphony of delectable cocktails inspired by the region’s lively ambiance. Indulge in iconic aperitivos such as the timeless Negroni, the refreshing Aperol Spritz, and the invigorating Hugo Spritz, each concoction a celebration of Italian flair. The beverage menu extends beyond cocktails too, offering a curated selection of wines, beers, and spirits to satisfy every palate. For those seeking alcohol-free alternatives, the new menu boasts an array of options ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Group Executive Chef, Mark Window said: “At Riva Blu, our foundation is deeply rooted in Southern Italy, from our welcoming hospitality, combined with the richness of our culinary traditions in every dish on the new menu, to the vibrancy of the restaurant that evokes the essence of Naples.

“We are thrilled to offer an authentically immersive dining experience at Riva Blu and look forward to welcoming guests and taking them on a journey of Southern Italian flavours.”
