The market town of Beverley is home to a whole host of archaic buildings, boasting long histories dating back over 500 years. However, few landmarks stand out more than The Beverley Arms situated in the centre of the town.
The historic building is home to a popular hotel, and welcomes all guests with open arms.
The Beverley Arms has been welcoming visitors to the Yorkshire Wolds for over 200 years, and boasts an experience like few others in Yorkshire. Impressive in every department, the Arms is a perfect place to call home for a few days.
Formerly a coaching inn in the 17th century, after a lengthy transformation the landmark has turned out to be an excellent hotel location, offering a quiet and peaceful space for guests.
The feature bedroom, priced at a reasonable £170, guarantees guests their own personal space as well as having all the necessary amenities. Both clean and neatly arranged, the room layout was excellent, even allowing space for a mini living room. The bed we were provided with was extremely spacious and clearly prepared well before our arrival, ensuring we were as comfortable as possible overnight. Further details about room prices can be found on The Beverley Arms website.
Certain rooms looked out over the iconic minster, just one of many small things making every penny worthwhile. Aside of guest rooms, the venue ensures quality service from all members of staff, who are always on hand to assist those staying the night.
With 38 beautiful bedrooms, a bar and restaurant serving up hearty meals to remember, and some brilliant outdoor spaces, The Beverley Arms re-opened in July 2018 to guests. The bar area is welcoming and relaxed, with the outside terraced area being equally as peaceful and inviting. If you are visiting Beverley for its tranquillity and peaceful environment, The Beverley Arms perfectly typifies this – offering up a great place to get away.
Despite being a 17th century structure, development has seen modern features implemented to compliment the traditional structural work. Such examples include the
Restaurant’s glass roof, which allows the sunlight to beam through as early as breakfast time.
Located very centrally, there are few finer venues in Beverley if peace and quiet is what you are after. Also ideally positioned for those who wish to look around, the Beverley Arms invites you to stroll around the charming market town. As summarised on the hotel’s website, the town offers “lots of little side streets and markets to browse. A local racecourse for a flutter, quaint cafes for a lounge and history everywhere. Come and explore.”
