TV chefs Ainsley Harriott and James Martin will take over the live demos at Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival this July

It’s The Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival’s 5th birthday this year, and will take place at Funkirk Farm in Skipton over the 18th- 19th July to bring a foodie fun-filled weekend for everyone.

A massive summer 70s party is also set take place over the weekend, as The legendary Leeds favourite Love Train by Brutus Gold will be bringing all the classic dance hits to the festival.

The festival will also include live cooking demos done by TV Chef sensations Ainsley Harriott and James Martin.

It is even possible to meet Ainsley at one of his book signing sessions!

After almost two decades as one of the country’s favourite TV chefs, Ainsley Harriott has become something of a national treasure. Best known for his twenty-one series of Ready, Steady, Cook, and with many solo primetime cooking series under his belt, he has become the master of fresh, fun, accessible cuisine.

Ainsley’s own-brand food products are a familiar sight not only in the UK’s supermarkets, but worldwide. Over fifteen years, the brand has gone from strength to strength and a packet of his flavoured couscous or one of his wide range of soups is a must on many families’ shopping list.

Celebrity chef and Yorkshireman James Martin is also known for starring in Ready Steady Cook, where he worked before joining Saturday Morning Kitchen in 2006 and staying at the helm for ten years.

He’s also famously been touring the world, starring in TV shows such as James Martin’s French adventure and in 2017 launched a show that was filmed in his very own kitchen; Saturday Morning with James Martin.

The festival has much more to offer too, such as fabulous workshops and masterclasses, a vintage funfair, crafting demonstrations, lots of fun activities to keep the kids entertained, tasting sessions, hundreds of exhibitors and the best street food the UK has to offer!

There are also a variety of tribute acts playing at the 2020 festival including Little Fix (Little Mix), Take That Live (Take That), Kylie On Show (Kylie Minogue), Pink Tribute Act (P!nk) and Kieran as Ed Sheeran (Ed Sheeran)

Festival goers are able to stay for 3 nights camping or in caravans/motorhomes, so they can come and join from Friday and stay right through until Monday morning. There are also Glamping Tents and luxury Holiday Cottages available too.
