It’s Sweet for Scarborough as Crofts Chocolates wins DeliciouslYorkshire Taste Award!

The popular Scarborough chocolatier has won a prestigious DeliciouslYorkshire Taste Award 2019.

The winners were announced at a glittering black-tie ceremony on Wednesday 6th November at the Pavilions of Harrogate.

Now in their 16th year, DelciouslYorkshire have grown to become the biggest food and drink awards in the North of England are held in high regard throughout the county and beyond.

Crofts Chocolates entered their Scarborough Sea Salt Caramel chocolate for the judging process and the innovative chocolatiers won the Best Confectionery category, despite facing fierce competition and record entries.

Alex Grant, co-owner of Crofts, said: “We are absolutely thrilled at the news!

“The Taste Awards are a superb celebration of great food in Yorkshire and to be the winner in our category is fantastic. We used a selection of Yorkshire ingredients to make the chocolate, celebrating Yorkshire’s culinary heritage in this Scarborough-inspired sweet treat.
