The awards ceremony are taking place at the Royal Lancaster in London, with awards presented for fifteen different categories.
The staff training and development award has already been handed to the much-loved Wetherby chippy, and they will be eagerly hoping for more as staff member Adam Hutton is a finalist in the Young Fish Frier award category.
Wetherby Whaler has grown an outstanding reputation over recent years, with last year being named one of the UK’s 10 best fish and chip restaurants for the second year running.
They have been serving for over 40 years and now have six sites spread across Leeds, Wakefield and York areas. All their food is cooked fresh from certified sustainable sources, and are proud to be ‘Marine Stewardship Council UK’ certified for sustainable fishing
