The new Yorkshire cheese that promises to be legen-dairy

The Yorkshire Creamery launches in Beverley, Goole, Doncaster and Scunthorpe with cheeses that makes every day ‘grate’.

New dairy brand, The Yorkshire Creamery, is making a ‘stand against the bland’ in a bid to champion exceptional quality and traditional recipes to make dairy products that ‘taste like they ought to’.

The launch will include a range of downright delicious everyday cheeses made with fresh Yorkshire milk and each aged to perfection including; an Extra Mature Yorkshire Cheddar, aged for 15 months to give it a strong and rugged flavour, a deliciously nutty Yorkshire Red, which spends 10 months developing its rich depth of flavour, and finally a buttery Double Yorkshire, aged for seven months for a smooth creamy texture and tangy finish.

Excitingly, The Yorkshire Creamery are touring the North of England and welcoming Morrison’s shoppers to be amongst the first to taste the three new and delicious cheeses, as well as receive recipe inspiration. The Yorkshire Creamery will be in store between 11am – 5pm:

  • Beverley’s Wingfield Way store: 28th November
  • Goole’s Boothferry Road store: 29th November
  • Doncaster’s York Road store: 30th November
  • Scunthorpe’s Lakeside Pkwy store: 1st December

Customers are also invited to snap a photo milking the infamous Yorkshire Creamery cow in-store, or of the cheese pack itself, and share a photo on social media using #yorkshirecreamery to be in with a chase of winning a month’s supply.

The Yorkshire Creamery discovered that cheese lovers not only want a great tasting toastie, they also want to know the farmers and animals have been treated well in the making of their cheese – something the new brand takes particular pride in.

The milk used has been specially selected from local farms, where each cow is practically known by name, and the experienced cheese experts at The Yorkshire Creamery use every ounce of their nous, skill and bundles of passion to create cheese that ‘tastes like it ought to’.

James Pratt, a farmer from Studdah Farm, Bellerby who supplies the Creamery with Yorkshire milk commented on the launch: “We’re proud to produce high quality Yorkshire milk for The Yorkshire Creamery, which is helping us and farmers like us build a sustainable foundation for the next generation, my son is already running around in his wellies eager to help.

“The Yorkshire Creamery cheeses taste fantastic, and look brilliant as well”

The Yorkshire Creamery has been launched by Wensleydale Dairy Products, the parent group of the award-winning Wensleydale Creamery, and it promises to share all the same values to create delicious dairy products made with love and care.

David Hartley, Managing Director of Wensleydale Dairy Products spoke about the exciting announcement; “The Yorkshire Creamery is a range of, honest, tasty, authentic products made with character and integrity.

“It tastes like it ought to and that makes every day eating just that little bit better. People don’t want to settle for mediocre lunches, dinners or snacks. They want food that tastes like it should, and which isn’t over-processed.”

The products will initially be available from selected Morrisons, Booths, Tesco, Asda and Co-op stores. For more information, please visit:
