With the kids being off school, the replacement activities can sometimes rack up quite the bill. Luckily these restaurants have slashed the costs of kids’ meals dramatically, with even being completely free!
There are plenty of places to check out over the half term holidays, even for those with picky eaters. Whether it’s pizza your kids fancy, a Sunday Roast or small bits to nibble on while you and your partner dine, here are some great options to choose from for the whole family.
Kids get to eat for just a pound at Carluccio’s this half term, and under 10s can make the most of the offer – getting a main course, a dessert and a soft drink for every adult main served between noon and 5pm.
The kids’ menu features a choice of classic Italian family favourites including pasta with ragu, meatballs, or pesto; ham and pea risotto or a creamy lasagne. Desserts include Italian sorbet or yoghurt with fresh berries.

Children can get a three-course Piccolo or Grande meal for free with the purchase of every adult main meal at Bella Italia restaurants over the school holidays.
The Piccolo mains are aimed at children aged two to six years, with the Grande for seven to 11 year-olds.
The kids’ menu includes create your own pizza and pasta dishes, as well as fish and chips, chicken strips or Insalata Italiano – little gem lettuce, tomato, cucumber, roast chicken and croutons in a creamy dressing.

Kids eat free with a child’s meal for every adult meal ordered from the a la carte menu.
The Kids’ Menu features well-loved mains such as Wacky Tacos, Crazy Quesadilla, crispy cod fingers and chicken crunchies.
Kids’ desserts include fresh fruit, wobbly raspberry jelly and the Latin speciality Churros, a donut made for dunking into a chocolate dip.

Last but certainly not least, kids can eat for a quid at Toby Carvery over the school break.
The family favourite roast dinner joint is offering kids a main children’s meal, carvery or a breakfast for £1 with every full-priced adult main.
The offer is valid Monday to Saturday until Friday, February 28 but excludes Sundays. It’s valid for up to four adults and four children aged 12 years and under.
