That’s why we’re happy to announce that the Scarborough Food Fair will be offering fresh and fantastic local produce to the community on the first and third Saturdays of every month all year round!
North Yorkshire will be treated to all manner of delicious cakes, chocolates, breads, oil and meats showcased by some of the finest producers in the region which will be just too much fun and feasting for any foodie to miss out on.
Visitors and residents of Bedale can enjoy a monthly market with delicious goodies in the appropriately named, Market Square. Strolling around the stalls will be the perfect addition to a lazy Sunday and music to the ears of any home-cook wanting to prepare a Sunday lunch.
Local producers will be on hand to showcase their fresh food and drinks and tell you their tales from field to fork. Since 2015 the market has been a great edition to the Bedale community and it’s getting better every month – so spread the word!

Kicking off the Cocktails in the City series this year is lively Leeds town hall. This event plans to set the bar for the next three festivals which will be running throughout the year, across the UK.

In the beautiful Spa town of Harrogate, the BBC Good Food Show is one of the best ways to celebrate the new season. Gone are the long, cold winter nights – it’s time to get a spring in your step and have some fun at one of the flagship festivals of the year.
The show is all about celebrity chefs, top quality regional and national produce, baking, shopping, learning, cooking and of course eating! As you make your merry way around the HIC you’ll pass through the producers village where a special range of exhibitors have teamed up with Deliciouslyorkshire to bring you the best products from the surrounding area. This will give you the chance to discover Masons Yorkshire Gin and the Serious Sweet Company who will be showcasing a variety of your favourite childhood treats. Other artisan producers from around the country will also be there flaunting their goodies – we’re talking the freshest and most unique foods that you won’t find on the high street. Many will be and adopting a try before you buy policy too!
One of the biggest draws to the BBC Good Food Shows will be the chef line-up and the likes of Tom Kerridge, Paul Hollywood and The Hairy Bikers will be raring to take the stage in the Supertheatre. If you decide to visit the impressive Edwardian theatre on Saturday you can catch a demonstration from Michel Roux Jnr also. If you just can’t get enough of your favourite chefs you can find them again at the interview stage where host Lotte Duncan will be taking your questions for the celebrity guests. Don’t miss the book signings either!
The popular Bakes & Cakes village will return again and this year there will be a Drinks Cabinet too where you can have a few tipples. So far Warner Edwards and Portobello Road Gin have been confirmed as exhibitors here.

With almost one hundred events set to take place across Leeds city centre, it’s safe to say that the Leeds Indie Food Festival is looking to be something very special indeed.
The phrase ‘something for everyone’ is bandied about a lot in the foodie world, but here it really rings true. Whether you’re heading to a Polish supper club, planning your route for the Leeds Craft Beer Crawl or hoping to check out The Great Edible Art Show, if you have at least a passing interest in food you’ll have something to entertain you in Leeds throughout the month of May.
If you really want to take on as many events as you possibly can, then it’s well worth purchasing the Leeds Indie Food Passport. With this little beauty you’ll be able to collect stamps from all of the businesses you visit and at all the events you attend, with a view to competing for special rewards and exciting prizes. Described by Antonio Carluccio as “Yorkshire’s Food Capital”, Malton, will be hosting their incredible Food Lovers Festival again this year.
It will be jam-packed full of over 160 unique producers selling all kinds of wonderful food and drinks for you to try. Everything from game to chocolate and local cheeses will be on offer and the festival bar will give you a continued supply of craft beer and cider.
As if this wasn’t enough a long line of chefs be gathering at the festival to perform the very best in live cooking demonstrations. Alongside them will be an equally impressive group of experts giving tutored tastings and talks for you to get involved with. If last year is anything to go by, Malton will see the return of their festival party from 6pm and a night market with an appetising array of street food. To add to the atmosphere will be a number of performers who will grace the main stage – so get your dancing shoes on. Last year Levi Roots headlined the festival party so we can expect good things.

The Yorkshire Post Food and Drink Show 2017

This flagship event of the Leeds Food and Drink Festival is now in its seventh year. More than 100 exhibitors will be showcasing the region’s finest food and drink.

Held in the birthplace of Wensleydale – the nation’s favourite cheese – this food festival, after an uncertain start, is officially back for 2017! The good people of Yorkshire are renowned for their love of good food and drink, and they take it pretty damn seriously; it’s all about good quality local produce, and this festival is the pinnacle of their gastronomic calendar.
This year the festival will be taking place in June to make the most of the wonderful summer weather. You will see plenty of cookery demonstrations from some of the region’s top chefs, as well as a real ale festival showcasing some of the best local brews and a wonderful wine bar. There will be celebrity talks, live music and plenty to keep the little ones entertained, such as a funfair and a bungee trampoline.
As expected, there’ll be various food stalls offering everything from coffee and crepes, to hot dogs and pizza, ensuring you can eat to your heart’s content. Deliciously Yorkshire is supporting the cookery theatre marquee this year, where you’ll be able to watch and learn from industry professionals, including tutors from Darlington College School of Catering.
The Old School House will also be hosting dedicated arts & crafts stands where local artisans, artists and craftspeople will be showcasing their talents. And just to top it all off – there’s a brass band (or two) too!

This festival is held every year in July and celebrates the link which Pontefract holds between the small town and the sweet plant. As ever, there are fun things for all the family.
This July, the thriving market town of Otley in West Yorkshire will be the proud host of a lively celebration of food and drink.
For one day only (although you recognise some familiar faces from the regular Otley Farmers’ Market), 50 stalls will set up shop on the Market Square to show off their tasty wares. Expect to discover a delicious array of lovely local produce – only the finest will do – to test out and take home. What’s more, well-loved local chefs will be holding court in the cookery theatre, plus food and wine tastings and for nibbles and tipples. One thing’s for sure: you won’t leave with an empty stomach.
It’s not all about the food, though – there’ll be live music, street performers and family entertainment, too. What more could you want from a day out?
