Back in November 2018, The Cocktail Experience had huge sell-out success, which is no surprise as it does every year! However, the best loved cocktail event is back for 2019 with a twist bringing Leeds’ first summer cocktail festival come rain or shine. The event takes place on on Saturday 8th June at The Faversham in Leeds between 2-8pm.
The best of the best from the thriving Leeds cocktail scene will be present such as Harvey Nichols, Revolucion de Cuba, Be At One Angelica, Alchemist, The Liqourist and Neighbourhood. Also this year, some of the hottest names from the Leeds food scene will also be there, headed up by the legendary Reds True Barbecue. With a selection of local DJ’s providing the much needed Summer soundtrack this is one event not to be missed and it doesn’t end there.
The event will take place both indoors and outdoors, taking full advantage of the Faversham’s recent refurbishment, that’s transformed the venue into one of the city’s most sought after event spaces. So let’s pray the weather stays dry, or even for a little sun, as there is nothing better than sipping a freshly made cocktail in glorious weather.
Saturday 8th June also happens to be World Gin Day, and so The Cocktail Experience have invited the award-winning Slingsby’s Gin of Harrogate down to host an exclusive gin bar. Guests can also expect gin-inspired surprises and exclusive gin treats from Tanqueray No. 10, Bombay Sapphire and Whitely Neil. Tennis fans can also rejoice, as Pimm’s will also be in full force serving up their iconic seasonal drink from their very own bar.
Director Jordan Odu, had this to say ahead of the event: “With the bottomless brunch trend booming in Leeds and Britain’s love of festivals, we thought it was time to take the cocktail party out of its comfort zone, and into the suburbs for more of a festival feel. Having attended various events at the Faversham, I knew this venue was perfect, especially after its refurbishment.’’
‘’The people of Leeds don’t need to be asked twice about a Summer garden party or for a cheeky cocktail, so we’re going to give them the biggest and first cocktail festival the city has seen. I hope to see you at the bar!’’
So if you’re stuck for something to do this weekend, why not head down to The Faversham for The Summer Cocktail Experience. Full details available from www.thecocktailexperience.co.uk
