The event is the second of its kind this year, and will offer a truly unique experience at the restaurant.
The event, which takes place on Wednesday, April 1, will offer a combined 8 course tasting menu from Chef Luke French & guest chef Tommy banks.
Throughout this year, JÖRO will be joining forces with some of the most exciting chefs from the UK & throughout Europe.
Tommy is the Chef Owner of both The Black Swan Oldstead, and his latest venture, Roots York. Him and his family opened the Michelin starred Black Swan Oldstead on 1st August 2006, and have lived and farmed around Oldstead for many generations.
Tommy has achieved great attention and national recognition. At the age of twenty-four, he became the youngest Michelin-starred chef in Britain when The Black Swan retained its star in September 2013. The Black Swan also gained a 4th AA Rosette in January 2016, making it unique at the time as the only restaurant in Yorkshire to hold a Michelin Star and 4 AA Rosettes.
The restaurant’s focus is all about traditional Yorkshire with a swirling mix of creativity and eccentricity. The Family and team design and build most things themselves, from the tables used in the restaurant to the trays the food is served on.
Tommy Banks said: “I see the Black Swan as a co-operative of minds. We have great people working here; some real characters with tremendous talent and it’s their coming together that creates something special. We want our guests to feel part of it and experience it with us. It’s not just a job for us, it’s a lifestyle.”
