On the second Saturday of every month, Malton becomes a Mecca for food lovers and amateur chefs alike, who turn out in their droves for the town’s increasingly popular Monthly Food Market.
The event now boasts 35 specialist food stalls, street food, live chef demos and music. Such is its popularity that the small North Yorkshire town is often dubbed the region’s ‘food capital’.
Popular with all those who care about where their food is sourced, the next market takes place on Sunday 10 March, from 9.00am-3.00pm in Malton’s central market place.
There will be live chef demos from Marc Hardiman (chef at The Talbot), Gilly Robertson (Malton Cookery School) and Ian Rae and David Spencer (The Coachman Inn, Snainton).
Free parking is available and well behaved dogs are welcome. A wide range of vegetarian and vegan options are available.
